At Rollie, we strive to be at the forefront of innovation and material science. This season, we’ve teamed up with the makers of Desserto®, Adrián and Marte from Mexico. In 2019, they developed a sustainable cactus leather made from the biomaterials from Nopal, commonly known as prickly pear. Grown in their ranch in Zacatecas, Mexico, they carefully select and cut only mature leaves every 6-8 months, ensuring the cactus stays healthy. With no irrigation needed; the cacti thrive on rainwater and rich earth minerals. Their cactus plantation is perennial, lasting around 8 years without needing yearly replanting like other crops. If the words cactus leather didn’t already make you think twice, our new range made with cactus leather is soft to touch and comfortable. Yes, cactus, now made comfortable. Highly resistant to abrasion, rubbing and tearing; super durable, yet still light, flexible and soft to touch. It'll let you walk the walk, comfortably and sustainably.
